USHERS:Volunteers greet and seat people in the service, count and record attendance, and collect offering. (Ushers additionally help insure the safety and care of those attending Sunday services).
GREETERS: Participants ensure that everyone entering our church receives a warm welcome; they distribute bulletins, and they are available to answer questions, give direction, and care for peoples' needs.
COFFEE MINISTRY: This rotation team prepares hot beverages on Sunday mornings.
COMMUNION: This ministry includes set-up and clean-up for our monthly communion service.
HANDS & FEET OF JESUS:Coordinates dinners, deserts and fellowship opportunities for the purpose of connecting with newcomers to Bayside.
KAIROS STUDENT MINISTRIES (6th - 12th grade)
The worship and teaching service on Tuesday evenings also includes the Security Team which ensures the church campus is a safe place for Tuesday nights. Also, Table Leaders serve to build relationships and facilitate conversation on each night's topic and The On-Site Prayer Team meets in the prayer room on Tuesday nights to pray for students during the service. The Bayside Music Ministry is directed by our Worship Leader, Thomas Orwiler, who auditions, prepares and schedules Worship Teams, Sound/Lighting and Video for Sunday Services.
Children's Ministries at Bayside require a background check for all adults serving as a teacher, nursery worker or assisting in any capacity.
Nursery workers rotate from week to week; teams of two work in the nursery while mom and dad enjoy the service. The Nursery Coordinator schedules the nursery teams, stock supplies, and sanitizes the toys. Pre-School teacher/helper rotation involves kids worship - singing, guitar, percussion, or lead a seasonal choir; K-5 grade teacher/helper rotation teach and encourage spiritual growth among children. All Children's Ministries workers are encouraged to become a "kid buddy" for a preschoolers and K-5 to help them feel safe and welcome! To find out more about Bayside Kids, CLICK HERE.
Helps connect women with God and each other through Bible studies, retreats and special events.
DECORATING TEAM: Participants handle seasonal floral arranging for the sanctuary, decorating for Christmas and Easter, and general facility enhancement.
Involves connecting men with one another through breakfasts, retreats, special events, and service projects.
On-Site Maintenance & Service
ROTATING CLEANING TEAMS: Volunteer cleaners serve our church in vital ways! Every week teams of two-three people clean designated areas of the church facility on Friday or Saturday. The church provides the tools and supplies. Currently, the rotation is every 4-5 weeks.
HANDY MAN/HANDY WOMAN: Volunteers handle everything from building repairs, follow-up to Fire Department visits, to fixing lights to cleaning out the kitchen to organizing closets and cupboards.
LANDSCAPING: This includes seasonal projects such as weeding, trimming, planting, spreading bark, and debris removal.
OFFICE ASSISTANCE: Occasional office support is needed for special projects and answering phone calls.
READER BOARD: Volunteers install information on the outdoor reader board for community awareness of Bayside events.
PRAYER CHAIN: Bayside's Prayer Chain is an email-based ministry to share prayer requests and answered-prayer reports. It's a great way to "bear one another's burdens" and see our God work in the lives of people.
