Bayside Church is utilizing the Meetup website to start and advertise social Meetup groups. These groups are open to both Bayside families and families in the community. Meetup is a 10 year old organization that helps people find a group that share their interests. Currently there are two groups now registered with Meetup. To join a group, register with Meetup and you will receive updates of upcoming Meetup dates. Please go to the Meetup website by clicking on the link next to the group you are interested in and register for free. Here is the current list of Meetups that Bayside Church is sponsoring:
Bayside Hiker’s Group – Hosted by John Stevens & Julie Snyder. The group meets the first Saturday of the month. Each month the group will go on a different hike in locations around Washington. Some will be close to home, others will be a longer drive so carpooling is encouraged. When you register with Meetup, you will receive information about the hikes including: locations, times, length of hike, difficulty of hike and where to meet for carpooling. Upcoming Hikes: Saturday, February 4th at 8:00 am. Snow shoe Hike at Hurricane Ridge.
Plan to snow shoe from the Hurricane Ridge Lodge to Hurricane Hill, a 6 mile round trip. Expect fantastic panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains – nearly 360 degrees! It will be most likely cold and windy but Spectacular! Warm, waterproof boots work well with the snow shoes.
Distance: 6 miles round trip Difficulty: Moderate (walking on snow can be challenging). BRING: Weather appropriate gear, snow shoes, if you have them, ten essentials, a lunch and water. Cost is $5 to cover gas expenses.

Quilting Group - hosted by Cindy Jandt. This group is for both experienced and beginner quilters. Come and work on a project or learn a new project. The group meets the second Tuesday of the month in room B-1, on the upper level behind the church. Bring your supplies and make new friends. Kingston Board Game & Card Game Group – Hosted by Brian & Marilea Gray. The group meets the fourth Friday evening of the month at 6:30 pm. The group will meet in the Ed Moon Ministry Center, room B-1, located behind the church, in the upper parking lot. Bring your favorite board or card games and teach others to play or learn to play a new board game. There will be no role-playing games in this group. This is an adult group and there is no childcare provided. We just want to have a fun time sharing games together. To register for this group, click here.
